She hadn’t meant to hurt me, but her words had cut into me #rainbowsnippets #sexysnippets from Homec
Hello, snippeteers. Welcome back to rainbow snippets (6 sentences of LGBTQ+ fiction) and sexy snippets (7 sentences from their work-in-progress or published stories).
This week I'm switching things. I will be sharing from my paranormal story Homecoming which will be featured in the All You Need is Love box set coming soon.
Blake has never been interested in shifter politics and has suppressed his 'other'. When bad news reaches him, he has to return home and face the issues he's avoided for years.
This teaser comes from the opening scene and is in Blake's POV.
“Over his dead body.”
That had been my furious reply to my mother when she’d asked me to forgive my father. “If he wants forgiveness, he should come here and beg you first. On his knees.”
Mum had shaken her head at me as her lips curled in a forlorn smile. “Your father is a proud man. He would never go down on his knees or beg. You are so much like him.”
She hadn’t meant to hurt me, but her words had cut into me, sliced me in half. Cut me to size.
