He tossed around, whipped his head from side to side #rainbowsnippets #sexysnippets from Live or Die
Hello, snippeteers. Welcome back to rainbow snippets (6 sentences of LGBTQ+ fiction) and sexy snippets (7 sentences from their work-in-progress or published stories).
Alexei and Zakhar were old friends until Zakhar went away ten years ago. Now he's back but not exactly getting a warm welcome from Alexei.
You can catch up with the story from the opening scene.
I'm going to start sharing from my WIP next time. But I thought I'd give you one last one from Live or Die.
Most of the previous snippets have shown Alexei and Zakhar in tense moments which sets the tone for the overall story.
But there are tender moments too, as illustrated by this snippet.
This is in Alexei's POV. Enjoy.
Without thinking, I swung my feet over the edge of the bed, concern for him taking over. The hall lights came on automatically as I yanked my door open and dashed across to his.
The light spilled in, dappling his prone body on the mattress; he tossed around, whipped his head from side to side and raised his arms as if fighting someone off, the sheet tangled around his legs.
He'd always had nightmares from what I could remember from the days we lived together and there had been only one way to calm him then.
Before I knew what I was doing, I walked over the rug at the foot of the bed and climbed in. I scooted close and whispered, “Shhh, malyshka. I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
