For those new to this story, here's a recap. Alexei and Zakhar were old friends until Zakhar went away ten years ago. Now he's back but not exactly getting a warm welcome from Alexei.
You can catch up with the story from the opening scene.

This week Zak volunteered to join Alexei in the ring for a fight. Alexei grapples him to the mat and when Zak yields he uses the opportunity to ask the question on everyone's mind: why Zak left ten years ago.
This is Alexei's POV. It's a little longer for completion. Enjoy.

“Bullshit.” My cock hardened from his movement. I suddenly had the urge to be buried inside him. Instead, I yanked his arm, causing him to wince. “We did everything together. We were bratan, and you left without a fucking explanation. I want to know why.”
“Things changed. It was time to move on.”
“That’s crap, and you know it.”
I twisted his arm again, inflicting pain.
“Fuck! Take it easy,” he yelled, panting heavily.
“Tell me the truth!”
“Fine!” His chest heaved. “I had to go and build my own life. I couldn’t live in your shadow forever.”
